Australian Nuclear Technology Association

The Australian group is also known as the “Australian Nuclear Technology Association”. It is an informal association of countries committed to nuclear non-proliferation and the control of exports of dual-use materials. The group consists of several countries, including Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States, and was originally founded in 1985. The Australian group has developed guidelines and control measures to regulate the export of materials that can be used for both civilian and military purposes in order to help prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. The Group plays an important role in promoting international security and the nuclear non-proliferation regime.
